This page explains what happens to your documents and personal information when you use Quadratic. Please read it before submitting your documents.

Pilot-stage policy. Quadratic is currently in a private pilot. This Privacy & Safety page describes the privacy posture for pilot operations and will be re-reviewed before Quadratic opens to the public on a paid basis.
What happens to your documents
When you upload a document, it is sent to Quadratic's processing system. Your document is processed by AI models to identify the type of document, extract key information, and prepare a response.
Your documents and the response document produced from them are stored securely. During the private pilot they may be retained for up to 90 days from processing, then permanently deleted and not recoverable.
Your documents are not shared with your employer, with third parties for commercial purposes, or used to train AI models.
Who can access your documents
Your documents can only be accessed by the Quadratic system during processing, and by the operator for the purpose of system maintenance and quality assurance.
Your employer cannot access your documents or your response through this system.
Quadratic does not sell or licence your documents or personal information to third parties.
How AI is used in this system
This system uses AI language models from multiple providers to process your documents and produce your response. The provider and model family used at each processing stage is listed below. Specific model versions may change; the provider for each stage will not change without an updated disclosure on this page.
Your document text is sent to the AI model providers listed above as part of processing. This means your document content is transmitted to and processed by third-party AI infrastructure. By using this system, you consent to this processing.

Up to 90 days from processing date during the private pilot

Your uploaded documents and the response document produced

All uploaded documents and produced documents, permanently, once the retention period expires
Early deletion
Not available in the current version of this service
Backup policy
Operational backups, if any, follow the same retention window and are deleted in line with the retention period.
If you require your documents to be deleted before the retention period expires, this is not currently available in the private pilot.
Your consent and your rights
Before submitting your documents for processing, you are asked to actively confirm your consent. Consent is required and cannot be implied. You will be shown a consent statement and must tick a checkbox before your documents are processed.
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access and correct information held about you.

Applicable law
This service is operated from Australia. Your personal information is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). The OAIC's guidance on AI and privacy (October 2024) informs our approach to AI processing disclosure and consent. Where the AI processing described above involves transmission to providers operating from outside Australia, that transmission occurs for the limited purpose of producing your response document and is subject to the providers' own privacy terms.
